Position Overview
Thriving Denver law firm is seeking an experienced Billing Coordinator to join their growing team. This role supports the Billing Specialist and the Administrative Director by assisting with billing operations, administrative tasks, and day-to-day coordination within the accounting department. The position ensures accurate invoice preparation, smooth billing cycles, and consistent communication with attorneys, staff, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing, editing, and finalizing monthly client invoices.
- Review time entries, attorney rates, pre-bills, and billing guidelines for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with time entry and billing procedures.
- Maintain and organize billing filing systems.
- Monitor and review the firm's credit card statement for accuracy.
- Support month-end, year-end, and other reporting processes.
- Assist in e-billing submissions, monitor rejections, and track invoice status.
- Support collections activities, including follow-ups on outstanding payments.
- Maintain billing records, client information, and filing systems.
- Assist with adjustments, transfers, and write-offs during the pre-bill process.
- Provide administrative support such as processing reimbursements and organizing documents.
- Handle routine client and internal billing inquiries in coordination with the Billing Specialist.
- Provide back-up support for reception and administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of administrative, billing, or accounting support experience in a law firm setting.
- College degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and billing software (e.g., Orion, NetDocs).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, full-time on-site.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000, depending on experience.
